Will I require a permit for my sign?

Many urban areas require a signage permit and they tend to be in the $50 range per year.  They are easy to acquire if you contact your local municipal government. If you've been renting a sign from one of our competitors in the past, then chances are you've already got a pre-paid permit for your site location.

Do I have to install the letters myself?

The answer is yes.  Some people may feel this is too burdensome.  We can assure you, however, that changing your message takes about 10 minutes and no technical know-how whatsoever is required.  In return for changing the messages yourself, you save literally thousands of dollars per year!!!!  We have dozens of customers who claim to look forward to changing their letters regularly to keep their sign fresh. 

You also have the advantage of changing your message when you want it changed without having to contact (and wait for) your vendor to change your message for you.

Is it difficult to Assemble a Sign?

If you've purchased a metal frame sign and had it shipped to you, or you'd like to put your sign in storage for a few months then you will have to assemble and disassemble it yourself.  There are 8 pieces to the sign and 8 bolts that need to be tightened.  It takes approximately 8 minutes to assemble.

Planter Box signs are already assembled for you and simply require that you plant flowers or add sand/gravel to the base to prevent tipping over in extremely high winds.

Will my letters blow away or get stolen?

We recommend that our letters be screwed into the sign facing so there is no chance that anything can blow away.  You also need not worry if your sign is in a high pedestrian traffic area because the messages can only be switched by mischievous individuals who happen to be carrying a drill or screwdriver with them (very unlikely).
